Kristi and Chris’s wedding at Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey was a celebration filled with love, laughter, and a touch of rainy-day magic. Although the weather led us to do portraits indoors, the charm of Renault provided a perfect, cozy backdrop, and we captured some absolutely stunning moments.
Founded in 1864 by French immigrant Louis Nicolas Renault, Renault Winery is one of the oldest continuously operating wineries in the United States. Renault chose Egg Harbor City, NJ, for its sandy soil, similar to France’s Champagne region, which proved ideal for grape cultivation. Renault received a rare U.S. permission to label his sparkling wine as “Champagne,” a distinction still recognized today.
Despite challenges, including Prohibition, Renault adapted by producing sacramental and medicinal wines, allowing the winery to survive when others closed. Today, Renault Winery is a celebrated destination with vineyards, a golf course, an on-site hotel, and event spaces, blending rich history with modern luxury.
Kristi looked radiant in her strapless lace gown, fitted to perfection and exuding timeless elegance, while Chris complemented her beautifully in a sharp blue suit. Their ceremony took place inside, next to the ballroom, adding an intimate touch as their friends and family gathered close to witness their vows.
The couple’s bright and vibrant fall florals brought warmth and joy to every photo, especially paired with the rich ambiance of the indoor space. A favorite detail was their adorable wedding cake, adorned with figurines of their beloved dogs—a sweet nod to their fur family.
Once the rain cleared, we headed outside for some dreamy nighttime portraits, capturing the enchanting glow of the venue under a misty sky. And when it came to celebrating, this couple and their guests danced the night away, filling the room with energy and joy.
Kristi and Chris, thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day, rain and all!
