A Dreamy Summer Day
Peyton and Greg’s engagement session in Ocean City, New Jersey, was everything you’d want from a summer day at the shore. It was playful, romantic, and full of classic beach-town vibes. We started along the iconic Ocean City boardwalk, beginning under the pier at 14th Street. The sunlight and ocean created the perfect backdrop for their special moments.
As we wandered the boardwalk, we stopped at some of Ocean City’s most recognizable spots. We visited Surf Mall, Manco & Manco’s Pizza, and the colorful 7th Street Surf Shop. These fun, candid moments captured the energy of the town and the couple’s easygoing connection.
A Personal Touch
We ended the evening on the beach near Greg’s family shore house. This spot holds so much personal meaning for them. The two laughed, played in the surf, and explored the sandy shoreline while the waves crashed in the background. It was the perfect way to wrap up the session and the start of so many more memories to come.
I’m already counting down the days until I get to photograph their wedding next year at the Washington Crossing Inn. If their engagement session is any indication, it’s going to be a beautiful and joy-filled celebration.
Tips for Your Engagement Session
Planning your own engagement session in Ocean City, NJ? Here are some tips to make it memorable:
Choose the Right Location
Whether you love the charm of the boardwalk, the relaxed feel of the beach, or the hidden gems along the shore, pick a location that resonates with you as a couple. This will help create a personal atmosphere for your photos.
Time It Right
The best time for photos is during the golden hour, just before sunset. The soft, warm light adds a magical touch to your images. Make sure to plan your session accordingly.
Dress Comfortably
Wear outfits that reflect your style but also allow you to move freely. Comfort is key when you’re having fun and capturing those candid moments.
Capture the Details
Don’t forget to include personal items that tell your story. Whether it’s a favorite book, a picnic blanket, or a special piece of jewelry, these details can add depth to your photos.
Relax and Enjoy
The most important thing is to relax and enjoy the moment. Your photographer will guide you, but being yourselves will create the most authentic images.
If you’re interested in capturing your love story in a way that feels personal and fun, I’d love to help.
